Subclass 457 is under Labour Market Testing in Australia

The Australian Skilled Visa (Subclass 457) has begun its Labour Market Testing (LMT). All applications for the said visa beginning 23 November 2013 will be subject to the LMT rules. Applications lodged before the said date are not subject to the LMT rules.

The LMT applies to technical and trade occupations that are available under subclass 457. Engineers, nurses and trades are included are not exempted in the new rules.
