Safety Before Travelling!

A successful trip cannot be accomplished without proper planning and preparation. Preparing your Australian Visa is as equally important as planning your itinerary and budget for your travel. So before you head on to the airport, be sure to check on the following things to make sure that you are ready and good to go:

Before leaving your home, you must:

  • Check your Identification documents: Passport, Valid ID, or any proof of your identity.
  • Make a copy of what your wallet, passport holder, or pouch (any hand bag you’ll be bringing) contains. Double check your copy and make sure that you haven’t lost any item.
  • Have a list of emergency numbers of the places you’ll be visiting.
  • Check your money and your credit cards. (tip: do not spend too much if you are still inside the airport, you will need the money for transportation)

Don’t bring all your valuables with you when you are travelling inside the country, unless you are a backpacker. In which case, a backpacker must secure his or her important documents and money.

Do not bring items that are not allowed in airports. Check the list of prohibited items in Australia. (http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page4369.asp)

What should you bring with you on your trip?

  • Clothes. The comfortable ones.
  • Sun screen. Unless you are going in Australia in winter time.
  • Camera! Yes! Take tons and tons of memories in Australia!

Like what was said earlier, a successful trip cannot be accomplished without proper planning and preparation. Enjoy your Australia get-a-way without worrying about your possessions.
